About

Microneedling or Percutaneous Collagen Induction Therapy with SkinStylus is perhaps one of the safest and most effective rejuvenating treatments available. During treatments, this automated device creates thousands of micro-injuries via fractional delivery of an FDA-approved cartridge of 36 sterile, surgical steel needles into the epidermis and dermis. Additionally, these micro-channels are opened for deep delivery of active ingredients, including hyaluronic acid, growth factors, peptides, and specific ingredients to correct irregularities in pigmentation.

Collagen Induction Therapy is a nearly painless, minimally invasive procedure that is extremely safe and has little downtime. Virtually everyone can benefit from a series of SkinStylus treatments. Collagen Induction Therapy is an excellent alternative to Fractional Laser treatments, being far safer and with less downtime because it does not ablate or burn the epidermis to achieve results. This technology can address many concerns, such as skin texture, hyper and hypo-pigmentation, photoaging and wrinkles, acne scarring, and tissue laxity. It can also improve the appearance of surgical scars on the body.

Not all treatments are the same. At Advanced Aesthetics, our technicians have Master Level training. We use the SkinStylus device, only available to medical facilities. During your treatment, only pure and safe cosmeceuticals are infused into the skin and complete your session with a peptide mask containing Transdermal Cosmetic Delivery of active ingredients to soothe and diminish downtime, reduce redness, and deeply hydrate the skin. A post-procedure kit of specifically designed after-care products is included with each treatment to ensure the best possible results.

Microneedling with PRP

What is PRP?
PRP therapy has been used for years in orthopedic and regenerative applications; it can harness the body’s own regenerative power to heal itself. This technology is now used cosmetically in conjunction with microneedling, enhancing the already amazing benefits of collagen induction therapy. PRP is a component of whole blood, separated by centrifugation. This isolates and concentrates the blood’s natural growth factors. The resulting Platelet Rich Plasma is then applied to the skin, followed by microneedling. PRP can be used for both face and neck or décolletage procedures.

How is PRP collected?
A small 20ml blood draw is taken, spun in a centrifuge to stratify, and the “liquid gold” PRP is drawn off the remainder of the red and white cells. For your security and peace of mind, this is all done bedside. The system we use produces the highest concentration of growth factors on the market and is the same system used at the Mayo Clinic. Your PRP is then used in the microneeding procedure and allowed to penetrate into the micro-channels or micro-injuries made by our 36-pin device.

Who is a good candidate for PRP Plus Microneedling?
Nearly everyone is a good candidate for PRP and microneedling. Adding PRP minimizes post-treatment downtime and discomfort and can provide many benefits to improve the condition of the skin.  Microneedling with PRP stimulates collagen, reduces the appearance of pores, improves tone and texture, minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, reduces redness, and improves all types of acne scarring. PRP is the ultimate in natural aesthetic procedures.

Bio Needling with GlycoAla Bio Gel

What is it and how does it work?
This treatment is completely needle-free and requires no numbing. Instead, a gel packed with Spongilla spicules—tiny, silica-based spines—is gently but firmly massaged into the skin. Bio Gel is enriched with powerful ingredients like vitamin c, niacinamide, arbutin, brown seaweed, spirulina, and bakuchiol to boost the results of your bio-needling experience.

As the gel is massaged in, you’ll feel a light prickly or tingling sensation as the spicules work their way into the skin. Many people describe it as feeling like a sandpaper massage or the touch of stinging nettles—slightly spicy, but very tolerable! The treatment is safe for all skin types and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and renewed.

Each session creates over three million tiny micro-channels in the skin, activating your body’s natural repair process and allowing deeper absorption of rejuvenating ingredients. Within about 72 hours, the spicules and dead skin cells naturally shed away, revealing a smoother, brighter, and healthier complexion. After seven days your skin is reset, looking brighter and smoother.

This gentle yet powerful treatment is an excellent option for anyone looking to target melasma, sun damage, or acne—and achieve radiant, glowing skin without the need for needles and with minimal downtime. We recommend a series of three treatments, spaced two weeks apart for optimal results.

Education

Collagen induction therapy (CIT), also known as microneedlingdermarolling, or skin needling, is a cosmetic procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles (microneedling the skin). CIT should be separated from other contexts in which microneedling devices are used on the skin, e.g. transdermal drug delivery, vaccination.

It is a technique for which research is ongoing but has been used for a number of skin problems including scarring and acne.[1] Some studies have also shown that, when combined with Minoxidil treatment, microneedling is able to treat hair loss more effectively than Minoxidil treatment alone.[2]

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can be combined with collagen induction therapy treatment in a form of dermatologic autologous blood therapy. PRP is derived from the patient's own blood and may contain growth factors that increase collagen production[3]. It can be applied topically to the entire treatment area during and after collagen induction therapy treatments or injected intradermally to scars.
