For more than 20 years, Leah Nickie has been dedicated to helping clients achieve healthier, more resilient skin through a thoughtful blend of advanced medical aesthetics and holistic care. Known for her meticulous approach and commitment to natural-looking results, she believes that healthy skin is beautiful skin and that every treatment should be personalized to the individual.
Leah's career in aesthetics began under the mentorship of a master aesthetician with more than 45 years of experience. She later became the lead aesthetician at one of Colorado's premier medical spas, where she refined her clinical skills and developed a philosophy centered on achieving healthy, natural-looking results. In 2010, she founded Leah Nickie Advanced Aesthetics with the goal of creating a practice that combines advanced technology with thoughtful, individualized care.
A dedicated lifelong learner, Leah continually pursues advanced education and believes that exceptional patient care begins with exceptional training. She invests heavily in continuing education for both her and her team to ensure every client benefits from the latest evidence-based techniques and technologies.
Leah is trained in the Vodder Method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Kobido Japanese Facial Massage, and holds a master-level certification in microneedling, as well as national certification as a laser technician. She believes that the best outcomes come from combining proven technology with skilled hands and a personalized treatment plan tailored to each individual's skin and goals.
Leah was also selected to serve on PCA Skin's National Aesthetics Advisory Panel, one of only nine aesthetic professionals chosen from across the United States. This distinction recognizes her clinical expertise, commitment to evidence-based skincare, and leadership within the aesthetics industry.
Her commitment to wellness extends beyond the treatment room. Dr. Julie Seaman, Medical Director, Cosmetic Injector
A Colorado native, Dr. Julie Seaman has built her career on precision, clinical excellence, and compassionate patient care. Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, she completed her residency at Denver Health Medical Center in 1999 before joining one of Colorado's most respected emergency physician groups. As a practicing emergency physician for more than two decades, she has developed exceptional procedural skills through thousands of complex medical procedures, including advanced wound repair, nerve blocks, and other precision-based techniques.
While her medical career sharpened her technical expertise, Dr. Seaman's lifelong appreciation for art inspired her to explore facial aesthetics. After taking up oil painting, she became fascinated by facial balance, proportion, and the subtle details that influence how we perceive beauty. This artistic perspective naturally led her to advanced aesthetic medicine.
In 2012, Dr. Seaman completed specialized training in Botox® Cosmetic and dermal fillers and has continued to pursue advanced education in facial rejuvenation techniques, including expert-level microcannula injection methods. She believes the best aesthetic results are achieved through a thoughtful, conservative approach that enhances a person's natural features rather than changing them.
Known for her meticulous attention to detail and gentle technique, Dr. Seaman takes the time to truly listen to each patient's concerns and goals. She believes successful aesthetic medicine begins with understanding the individual and creating a personalized treatment plan that prioritizes safety, facial harmony, and natural-looking results.
As Medical Director of Leah Nickie Advanced Aesthetics, Dr. Seaman is an active, onsite physician and an integral part of the practice. In addition to performing injectable treatments, she oversees all medical aesthetic procedures and works closely with the clinical team to ensure every treatment is delivered with the highest standards of safety, medical oversight, and patient care. Her ongoing collaboration with the aesthetic team provides clients with a level of physician involvement that is uncommon in medical aesthetics, giving patients confidence that every treatment plan is supported by experienced medical expertise.
Katrine Binder, Aesthetician
Katrine has been passionate about skincare since beginning her career in aesthetics in 2017 after graduating from the School of Medical and Botanical Aesthetics in Denver. She is dedicated to helping clients achieve healthy, beautiful skin through personalized care, thoughtful treatment planning, and results-driven therapies.
Known for her calming presence and exceptionally relaxing facials, Katrine creates an experience that allows clients to unwind while receiving treatments that support long-term skin health. She believes every client deserves to feel heard and takes the time to understand each person's concerns before offering honest, practical recommendations tailored to their unique skin and goals.
Committed to lifelong learning, Katrine continually expands her knowledge through advanced education in skincare and medical aesthetics. She enjoys staying current with new techniques and technologies so she can provide the highest level of care while creating individualized treatment plans that help clients look and feel their best.
Born and raised in Denmark, Katrine's love of travel eventually brought her to the United States in 2007, where she fell in love with Colorado's outdoor lifestyle. When she's not in the treatment room, she enjoys hiking, taking long walks with her family, and looks forward to returning to Europe whenever she has the opportunity to visit family and friends.
Julie Adams, Aesthetician
Julie ("Jules") has been passionate about skincare since she first began her education in cosmetology. Although she initially explored all aspects of the beauty industry, she quickly discovered that aesthetics was where her true passion lay. With more than 15 years of experience, Jules is dedicated to helping clients achieve healthier skin while creating a treatment experience that is both relaxing and results-driven.
Throughout her career, Jules has worked in luxury resort spas, owned her own aesthetics business, and served as an educator for the prestigious International Dermal Institute, where she trained other skincare professionals. Her diverse experience allows her to blend advanced knowledge with a warm, approachable style that helps clients feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in their treatment plans.
Jules believes that education is one of the most important aspects of skincare. She is committed to continually expanding her knowledge of skin health and enjoys helping clients understand how to care for their skin both inside and outside the treatment room. Her goal is to build lasting relationships while helping each client achieve healthy, beautiful skin.
In 2022, Jules and her family made the move to Colorado to be closer to the mountains and embrace an active outdoor lifestyle. When she's not in the treatment room, you'll likely find her hiking, skiing, or exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
Carey Lafferty, Aesthetician
With more than 16 years of experience in medical aesthetics, Carey is passionate about helping clients achieve healthier, more vibrant skin through personalized, results-oriented care. Her extensive training in advanced laser treatments and skin rejuvenation procedures has given her a deep understanding of functional skin aging and how to create treatment plans that support long-term skin health.
Carey believes that exceptional skincare begins with listening. She takes the time to understand each client's goals and creates customized treatment plans that combine advanced technology with practical guidance for maintaining healthy skin at home. Whether a client is seeking rejuvenation, prevention, or solutions for specific skin concerns, Carey strives to provide treatments that are both effective and restorative.
Known for her warm, approachable nature, Carey is committed to creating a calm, welcoming environment where clients can relax, recharge, and feel genuinely cared for. Building lasting relationships is one of her favorite aspects of being an aesthetician, and she considers it a privilege to be part of each client's skincare journey.
Originally from San Diego, California, Carey has called Colorado home since 2003. Outside of the treatment room, she enjoys spending time with her two teenage sons, encouraging their love of music and the arts. She also enjoys yoga, long walks with her dog, riding motorcycles, going to the movies, and visiting her large extended family whenever she returns to California.
